What A Cowboy - A School House

I have had absolutely no time to paint over this past weekend. No progress was made on the existing miniatures either. But, I did have a late night at work monitoring things and had time on my hands. I began to work on a School House for my town. I managed to make a mock up of the school house based on the one from some pictures that I found and the excelent paper model from Eric Hotz's Whitewash City. Here is what the model looks like in TinkerCad. It is just small enough in 1/100th to fit on my build plate!

I have the files sliced and ready to go. I am not sure about the roof. I was trying to figure out what to do with it. I did not put in a stove pipe into the roof. I probably should go back and do that. The roof on the Whitewash City model was a planked roof. Many of the buildings that I saw pictures of had a shingle roof. I have some left over shingle sheets from either Sarissa or Warbases that I may use for this. That could provide a nice look to the building. I made the planking effects go deeper this time into the building to try and have them show up in the scale. So far I am happy with what io have done.

One shange is that I did not include a boardwalk section in front of the building. The one I did for the small office did not work out that well. It lifted up during curing and was so thin that it broke in half while pulling it up off of the curing plate. I will need to create something for that but it will be so thin, I am looking more towards scratch building the boardwalk rather than printing one.

Anyway, it has been fun to work on. I will throw it up for free on the PayHip site once I have a chance to print it myself or get someone to.
