Cold War is Hot Again!

Flank March Miniatures has published a set of Cold War modifications for Chain of Command. These looks really promising. They rely heavily on Chain of Command 2 as the base with slight modifications to make them fit the period better. I am keen to try these out. It has a nice array of Soviet, British and US troops available. I have reached out and run some ideas about how to change these to represent Cubans and Sandinistas as well.

I was comparing the force lists to FM 7-7 for the US Mechanized Platoon. I have both the 1977 and the 1985 editions of these documents. That provided 3 distinct formations in them all based around the M113 troop carrier. I have a base platoon for both sides ready to go for the game. I have been eyeing the files from Flank March for their Soviet Engineers and went ahead and ordered them. I think these will offer some great fun this year.
