This is the second group of Spanish Militia that I have finished. They came out OK. The picture without the flash was way too dark. This one made them look shiny. Not sure why. They don't appear shiny when I look at them.
Once based, this will give me two complete groups for them. Only have 8 more of them to paint. Then it is on to the regulars.
Next up is two test pirates. I want them to look motley and unorganized so I am basically painting them as individuals. May change that if it becomes too annoying.
These two fellows need an ink wash and matt varnish before I am done with them. So far they are OK.
Then I finished a couple of Cold War Tanks. A T-55 and a T-72. They came out pretty good.
They've all come out well. Are the tanks battlefront?
ReplyDeleteThe T-72 is one of the plastic battlefront kits. The T-55 is a Command Decision Model. I picked them all up off of eBay. The CD models were 4 for $9.00. The 5 T-72s were not such a great deal but not too bad.
DeleteI just recieved a box of battlefronts T-64's and they're very nice. I did get a QRF T-72M1 but although it looks good from above has some problems with the wheels as there's a gap between the 1st and 2nd wheels like the T-55 which shouldn't be there.
ReplyDeleteThey are surprising nice kits for plastic. I have a box of BMPs from them that I have not opened yet. That is disappointing about the T-72.I am debating on getting T-64s or not. I think I will pass. I have enough T-72 to give 2 to my Syrians and enough T-55s to give one to my Syrians for Lebanon 82.
Deletewell the T-64's are nice but I don't generally offer much more over the T-72 in most game systems, so it's probably not worth it from that point of view.
